Aluminium Ingot Casting
Equipment used in foundries has to be carefully designed and well built to ensure a long life. We used our own foundry to develop aluminium ingot casting machines to be the most rugged and reliable on the market to give you maximum productivity and minimum downtime. The JMC range of aluminum ingot casting machine models will produce cones, cubes or long bars and can be adapted to suit your individual requirements. However, if you are looking to produce high quality aluminium granules then you’ll be interested in the JMC Centaur, which is a unique systems able to produce up 10mm aluminium granules without tails.
Ingot Casting Machines
JMC ingot casting machines were originally developed in our own foundry primarily to work with aluminium. An ingot casting machine has to be extremely well built to ensure long life in a foundry environment as well as being fast, efficient and 100% reliable. That’s a tall order so we source only the best castings and components and build the frames in house from high-quality steel. Our pouring systems have been designed to minimise dross formation which in turn dramatically improves the ingots produced. An adjustable speed system allows the volume of metal poured into each mould to be accurately controlled, producing ingots of a consistent weight and dimension. As the moulds travel up the incline and around the head sprockets they invert, allowing the ingots to fall, assisted by two hammers.
There are a number of basic models which produce cones, cubes or long bar ingot with ingot production capacities from 5 to 10 tonnes an hour. JMC ingot casting machines can also be purpose built to meet your own foundry’s requirements.
Centaur Aluminium Granule Production Plant
Centaur is a unique metal casting system which has been purpose designed and tested for the production of high quality aluminum granules without tails. The system works around a water cooled rotating casting table onto which molten aluminium is poured in droplets from specially designed moulds. The droplets are rotated by 360 degrees and blown from the table onto a steel conveyor by a combustion air knife. Production rates vary depending on how many tables are incorporated into the system. For example, three tables can produce up to 1750kg per hour of 10mm granules. Granule grading systems and sorter screens can be incorporated to give the best aluminum granules possible. Contact us with your requirements and we will design a Centaur aluminium granule production plant to suit your business.
